FASHION WITH A CAUSE: ROSEHILL GARDENS TURNS PINK ON CHANDON LADIES DAY FOR PINK FASHION LUNCH IN SUPPORT OF THE SYDNEY BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION
The 2025 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival officially began on Saturday 15 March at Rosehill Gardens delivering elegance and excitement for Chandon Ladies Day kicking of six weeks of exhilarating race-days where you can expect it all. Sydney’s social set walked the pink carpet for the Pink Fashion Lunch which was proudly supported the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation, raising vital funds and awareness in support of those battling breast cancer in NSW.
Hosted by 7NEWS Presenters Mark Ferguson and Angela Cox, the Pink Fashion Lunch is a celebration of the finest in fashion, racing, entertainment, and gourmet dining. Guests were treated to a fashion show of this season’s trends expertly curated by renowned stylist Donny Galella with make-up artistry from Alex Fevola’s Runway Room, followed by a performance by ARIA Award-winning artist Paulini.

This Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival is about making a statement: be bold, have fun, express yourself, and don’t hold back. And, of course, headwear should be felt. The pillbox is a hot trend this season, large boaters, berets, and veiling always make chic options, embellished headbands and netting are also trending. Men are also taking more risks and having fun with fashion, we are seeing suits coming in colours like lavender, olive, brown, terracotta, and shades of pink. Saturday saw the running of the prestigious Group 1 $1 Million Coolmore Classic, Australia’s premier handicap race for fillies and mares.
