Semana trained by Ciaron Maher with young gun Dylan Gibbons aboard has opened a well-backed $3-$2.60 TAB favourite in the Group 2 $400,000 Racing and Sports Golden Pendant, ahead of Amelia’s Jewel ($2.80-$3 TAB) for Ananbel Neasham/Rob Archibald and jockey Tommy Berry.
The Group 2 $300,000 Canadian Club Shannon Stakes features a wide-open betting race headed by Bases Loaded for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and jockey Tim Clark at $4.80 TAB.
