Jockeys Fly High as AFL Skills Put to the Test

The gates open this Saturday to Royal Randwick for the start of the Sydney Everest Carnival with Sydney Surf To Turf Day.

Ahead of a huge eight weeks of world class racing action, jockeys Regan Bayliss and Jett Stanley switched sports and tried their hand with an AFL ball.

Swans superstar Tom Papley was on hand to rate their skills and give them a helping hand on a windy afternoon.

See how they went contesting a bounce, taking a mark and kicking a goal.

 

“Send them lower Paps, send them lower,” Regan Bayliss who was struggling under the high ball.

The Swans and Tom Papley are aiming to beat Port Adelaide on Friday (20 September) at the SCG to make the AFL Grand Final.

Golden Rose Day (28 September) at Rosehill Gardens will feature a ‘live site’ where racegoers can watch and cheer the AFL Grand Final.
