Long Lunch and Stayers for Winter Cup Day at Rosehill Gardens

Rosehill Gardens hosts a big ten-race card this Saturday – Winter Cup Day – on a program which has attracted 163 entries and a number of wide-open betting races.
The Listed $200,000 Cincotta Chemist Winter Cup over 2400m is the feature event, one of several black type staying races on Sydney Saturdays across June and July.
Sir Lucan for trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and with Adam Hyeronimus abord is looking for back-to-back Cincotta Chemist Winter Cup victories.
He has opened at $16 TAB Fixed Odds in the 14-horse field (Sir Lucan won at a starting price of $6 in 2024).
Equal opening favourites in the race at $3.70 TAB are Bear On The Loose (Waterhouse/Bott and jockey Zac Wadick) and Don Diego De Vega for Annabel and Rob Archibald and jockey Jay Ford.
Ford has won the race twice previously in 2010 and 2022.
Last start Lord Mayor’s Cup winner Touristic for Peter Snowden and jockey Andrew Adkins is at $4.60 TAB to record consecutive Rosehill Gardens feature wins.
