Sydney’s Hottest New Destination, The Peacock Lounge, Opens from September… for Five Days Only

The Peacock Lounge will soon debut at Royal Randwick, in a radical move set to shake up the racing scene in Sydney. Located on the ground floor of the WINX Stand, the Peacock Lounge will open this September for all GA ticket holders to enjoy. The Peacock Lounge will be open for the five days of the Sydney Everest Carnival.
This one-of-a-kind destination has been conceptualised to create a quirky, immersive venue to bring friends together over the spring season with unforgettable fun and excitement of a race day. The Peacock Lounge is the perfect home for all during the world-famous Sydney Everest Carnival.
Alongside this super slick setting, there’s so much more to enjoy at the Peacock Lounge. Expect to find a curated selection of beverages from partners such as James Squire, Chandon and Canadian Club, served from a bespoke James Squire feature bar, measuring 10m x 6m in a hero design element in the middle of the Lounge. The food will include a delicious Yum Cha food offering, serving up cult-favourites like steamed pork buns, satay chicken skewers and lobster spring rolls, as well as the must try item on the menu, the Prawn and Water Chestnut dumplings devised by celebrity chef Hayden Quinn.
A lively dance floor brought to life with a rotation of epic DJs and so much more – all with ample seating and booths designed to host groups of all shapes and sizes will make the Peacock Lounge the new social destination this Spring all within the General Admission areas.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the Peacock Lounge for our GA patrons at the Sydney Everest Carnival,” says Matt Galanos, CEO of the Australian Turf Club. “It’s a reflection of our commitment to evolving the raceday experience, particularly for the younger generation who seek exciting experiences with a great social atmosphere, and there’s no additional cost of entry.”
The Peacock Lounge will make its debut on Sydney Surf to Turf Day, Saturday 21st September at Royal Randwick, followed by the remaining four racedays at Royal Randwick: TAB Epsom Day on Saturday 5th October, TAB Everest Day on Saturday 19th October, Moët & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes Day on Saturday 26th October and concluding with The Big Dance on Cup Day on Tuesday 5th November.
The party doesn’t stop with the last race of the day though. The popular After The Last series will return, starting with Teddy Cream on Saturday 21st September, backing up with Levi on Saturday 5th October and Kinder on Saturday 26th October to keep the vibes high and take guests dancing into the sunset after a full day out – with the performer for TAB Everest Day set to be announced soon.
- Food selection inspired by Sydney’s cult Yum Cha scene, steamed pork buns, satay chicken skewers and lobster spring rolls. The must try item on the day will be the Prawn and Water Chestnut dumplings developed by Hayden Quinn and paired with his signature chilli oil
- A bespoke James Squire bar serving cold beers and bubbles all day in amongst a party atmosphere across the day.
- Live music and DJs after the last acts: Teddy Cream, DJ Levi and Kinder will perform After the Last act across the Sydney Everest Carnival to keep the party vibes going once the last race is run.
