TAB Everest Sold Out – It’s More History at Royal Randwick

Sydney’s world-renowned Group 1 $20 million TAB Everest has created further history with Saturday’s eighth running at Royal Randwick officially sold out.

The Australian Turf Club and Racing NSW closed General Admission ticket sales four days ahead of the event in the interests of safety and comfort for patrons.

Saturday’s total crowd is expected to exceed last year’s number of 46,498 and could reach up to 50,000 people.

All hospitality spaces and functions across Royal Randwick are sold out.

2023 TAB Everest Winner Think About It

Australian Turf Club CEO Matt Galanos said: “The TAB Everest has become the hottest ticket in town and is attracting new fans in record numbers.

“We are delighted to see that more than 30 per cent of ticket sales are aged under 25 and 53 per cent are female, which shows how widespread interest in TAB Everest Day is.

“Saturday will set a new modern-day record number of patrons at Royal Randwick, eclipsing even the unprecedented final run of the immortal Winx.

“We urge all customers to arrive as early as possible and take advantage of public transport which is all included in General Admission tickets and for ATC Members.

“ATC is now focussed on working with Racing NSW on creating new spaces and precincts at Royal Randwick to allow even more people to enjoy live and trackside the richest race on turf in the world.’’

The strongest field ever assembled in the history of the $20 million TAB Everest lines up at Sydney’s world-famous Royal Randwick on Saturday as the eighth running of the world’s richest race on turf reaches Group 1 status.

Twelve of the world’s best sprinters who combined have won 71 races and almost $70 million prizemoney will be run before a capacity crowd.

A full list of all runners, slot owners, trainers, jockeys and career history statistics are here.

General Admission ticket holders and Australian Turf Club Members have all public transport services – including light rail services directly to Royal Randwick – included.

Along with the $20 million TAB Everest, Saturday also sees the second running of the  $5 million King Charles III Stakes and the $2 million The Kosciuszko, all part of Australia’s richest day of racing.
